A hi-tech alternative to regular street benches, the Steora 'City' solar charging bench is the first bench seat that brings traditional park and street seating into the modern, connected world.
Although it may resemble a conventional park bench with slatted seats, the Steora ‘City’ skillfully conceals solar power cells within the seat structure to power an impressive array of USB and Qi phone charging outlets, ambient lighting, environment sensors and Wi-Fi modem, bringing a technological rejuvenation to urban spaces.
With the opportunity to add a 19" LCD screen (requires electrical grid connection), the Steora ‘City’ can act as an information hub or a source of advertising revenue, with an optional Ai camera to monitor pedestrian traffic.
2 x Qi rapid charge pads included. Extra 4 x USB fast charging outlets available at extra cost.
Energy production, energy usage & battery status is constantly monitored and recorded.
Standard sensors record temperature, humidity and air pressure. Load sensor records the number of people who have sat on the bench.
Real time and stored data can be accessed from any device, at any time – phone, tablet PC
Three seat planks with integrated PV panels operate independently for maximum efficiency.
Fans in each slat activate automatically to avoid the seat getting too hot.
